This is Brie. She is the macaroni to my cheese. She is beautiful. She is hilarious. She is an incredible actress. Basically, she is one of the coolest people I know. We did a quick mini-shoot this summer and got her fixed up for some upcoming auditions. This is my friend, the super star.
Welp. This one is a little long…. but seriously, these two know happiness and beauty and I just couldn’t help myself. I have known Rory and Holly for a few years now, ever since bossing them around at SpringHill Camp. We all saw this relationship coming and yet didn’t see it coming at all. They have known each other since high school and were truly best friends FIRST, which is a truly unique thing to experience. Both Rory and Holly never stopped talking about how incredible the other is and how proud they are of each other. The thing I heard both Rory and Holly say about the other multiple times that day was “I just love how [he/she] loves God more than me.”
I am still so honored to have been part of your day, you two. It was a BLESSING to watch you start the rest of your lives. Happy honeymooning! May the honeymoon never end.
I don’t even know how to express the beauty of this day. I have known Shannon since we were kids, back to the days of Pioneer Girls. Her and her family are very close to my heart, which made this an extra special wedding to shoot. The details that Shannon and Trevor put into this are endless: from the backyard that has been perfected for this day, to the twinkle lights wrapped throughout the trees, to Shannon’s hand piece that was sewn from pieces of her mom’s wedding dress. Everything about this day was intentional and special. On top of that, Shannon and Trevor are so incredibly in love and such a perfect compliment to each other that you just want to be around them and experience their joy. This day was a delight to shoot and an honor to be a part of. Blessings to you both and yes, I would love to join you for a wake boarding trip sometime. 🙂
I have known Lynn since the summer of 2008 when we met at SpringHill Camps. The first time she told me about Cole, there was something different about how she talked about him. He was special from the start. They are two wonderfully sarcastic, goofy, adventurous, hilarious people and I predict they will have a marriage full of laughter! Spending this chilly March day with them was so fun and I was honored to be a part of it.
…. plus Trigger! I had a blast spending a chilly morning at Central Michigan University with an old friend of mine, Lynn and my new friend Cole. Lynn and Cole met at CMU, so that was just the perfect location to get some shots of them before their March wedding in Clare, MI. Plus, we had the added bonus of playing with their ADORABLE puppy, Trigger. He may or may not have stolen the show a few times, but that can’t really be helped when you are that cute.
We aim for once a year. We just try to get one photo of the whole family as we grow in age and in size. We have been doing this for probably 6 or 7 years now and it gets more exciting every year because there just keeps being more and more kids! This day also happened to be my nephew Isaac’s first birthday, so he got his own photo session. AND the Cooke family wanted to get some nice ones because we already all looked a little nicer than normal. Here is what I saw.
You may recognize these two from my LAST blog post. That is because we did their engagement session the week before the wedding! Jamie and Sean found each other not too long ago, but as they say, “when you know, you know.” And trust me, they are so right for each other. Their story is simple: they were so focused on their own relationships with God that it took Him to point them towards each other. And that is what made this day so incredibly moving; the whole day was spent in praise, love, and thanks. And if you are wondering, YES, a wedding can be planned in less than 6 weeks.
Jamie and Sean wanted a chance to pray together before the ceremony. IF you are a traditionalist, don’t worry, Sean didn’t get to see her, but she definitely saw him. This moment was so special, I can’t even describe it.
That moment when they are announced as husband and wife and moments later the sky lets go and rain falls. That is my favorite. When brides say, “yeah sure, we can go off-roading, you only wear this thing once.” That is also my favorite. Shooting a wedding for dear friends. Also my favorite. This was a good day.
